Banyak webmaster yang memulai websitesnya dari komputer lokal dengan menggunakan php dan mysql.
Kesulitan yang sering terjadi ketika upload database mysql ke server. Berikut langkah yang perlu dilakukan.
Yang perlu disiapkan di komputer lokal adalah phpmyadmin, biasanya phpmyadmin sudah terinstall bila anda menginstall paket software seperti WAMP Server, XAMPP dan PHP Triad yang terdiri dari paket Apache, Mysql, phpmyadmin.
nUntuk export data biasa digunakan fasilitas 'MySQL Dump' di phpmyadmin.
Dua Langkah yang dilakukan yaitu di Komputer Lokal dan di Server. Bila anda sudah memiliki database dalam bentuk file tinggal mengikuti langkah di Server.
SEMUA LANGKAH DIBAWAH SUDAH TERUJI BERHASIL OLEH RIBUAN ORANG, ERROR YANG TERJADI DI WEBSITES ANDA AGAR DIPERHATIKAN KEMBALI LANGKAH-LANGKAHNYA TERUTAMA PADA KONFIGURASI : NAMA DATABASE, NAMA USER DATABASE DAN HOSTNAME
Langkah-langkah pada komputer lokal anda :
1. Masuk ke phpmyadmin pada local komputer anda
2. pilih database yang ingin anda dump,
Terdapat di sebelah kiri phpmyadmin
3. Phpmyadmin akan menampilkan tabel-tabel yang terdapat pada database tersebut.
4. klik pada bagian 'Export'
5. Sekarang anda berada pada bagian option yang menentukan 'Bagaimana cara database anda akan di dump',
Defaultnya adalah SQL dan kami sarankan agar menggunakan SQL.
Kadang anda perlu memilih 'Add DROP TABLE' gunanya utk menambahkan SQL utk menghapus table sebelumnya pada saat import di server.
Pilihan lain anda bisa juga menggunakan 'Save as File', kami sarankan agar menggunakan pilihan SQL.
6. klik ‘go’
Hasil dump akan ditampilkan di browser, selanjutnya anda copy terlebih dahulu hasil ini.
Langkah-langkah di server anda :
1. Untuk pembuatan database, user database di server dapat mengikuti artikel berikut :

perlu anda catat dari hasil artikel diatas : NAMA DATABASE, USER DATABASE dan PASSWORD DATABASE
Tanpa anda tau ketiganya, web anda tidak akan bisa melakukan koneksi ke server database.
2. Setelah Database, dan user database terbentuk, klik icon phpmyadmin di halaman utama cpanel (disamping 'MySQL database')
3. Phpmyadmin akan tampil, kemudian pilih database yang akan anda isi dengan hasil dari MySQL dump, letaknya di menu sebelah kiri.
4.Klik pada menu ‘SQL’
tinggal anda PASTE hasil dump mysql database dari local komputer anda pada bagian ‘Run SQL Query’
5. Terakhir klik ‘GO’
Selesai sudah, semua mysql database anda sudah di upload ke server
Selanjutnya anda tinggal menyesuaikan scripts PHP anda utk koneksi ke database dengan mengganti konfigurasi database, user dan password mysql yang telah terbentuk.

Cara membuat database mysql di cpanel hosting
Untuk membuat database mysql, berikut langkah-langkah di cpanel hosting anda :
Login ke cpanel website anda di jendela baru :
http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
ganti yourdomain dengan nama domain anda.
Setelah masuk ke cpanel anda lakukan langkah-langkah dibawah :
Bila anda belum membuat MySQL user, dan database di cpanel. ikuti langkah berikut:
1. Klik pada menu ‘MySQL database’
2. isikan username dan password pada pilihan ‘Add New User’ dan kemudian klik ‘Create User’
Secara otomatis user mysql yang terbentuk akan diawali dengan user cpanel dan diikuti nama user mysql yang anda masukan. seperti contoh:
usercpanel_namausermysql
3. Masukkan nama database yang ingin anda buat di ‘new database’ dan klik ‘Create Database’
Secara otomatis database mysql yang terbentuk akan diawali dengan user cpanel dan diikuti nama database mysql yang anda masukan. seperti contoh:
usercpanel_databasemysql
4. Tambahkan user ke database yang telah anda buat dengan memilih ‘Add User To Database’ dan klik ’submit’
5. Pilih ALL PRIVILEGES dan klik ‘Make changes’
Dari hasil diatas dapat kita catat 2 konfigurasi penting yang diperlukan untuk koneksi ke database:
1. nama database: usercpanel_databasemysql
2. user database : usercpanel_namausermysql
Catatan:
* Database mysql, username dan password yang telah terbentuk agar DICATAT, karena akan diperlukan untuk koneksi ke database anda.
* Mysql Server/database host gunakan localhost

Remote MySQL Connection :: HowTo
Can I remotely connect to mysql? YES!
Follow these simple instructions to remotely connect to mysql.
Before you can connect to MySQL, You must enable your computer as an access host. It may sound confusing, but CPanel makes this ver simpe. First, login to cpanel using yourdomain.com/cpanel. Then, on the main menu of CPanel, click [MySQL]. Now, scroll down to about mid way through the page until you see "Access Hosts:". Under that, you will see a list of all the IPs that are permitted to connect to your mysql databases. As default, only "localhost" will be listed. Directly under that, you will see "Host (% wildcard is allowed):" with a text field next to it. In that text field you can enter your computers IP address. After you
enter your IP address, click [Add Host] and your done. Your computer can now remotely connect to your mysql database(s).
How can I find out my computers IP address?
- Simple, just go to http://www.whatismyip.com/
http://www.ip2location.com/
http://ip2country.com/
Wait a minute, my IP constantly changes!
Okay, you have a dynamic IP address. Therefore, everytime you go online, or every once in awhile, your IP changes. You have a few options here. The most secure, would be to update your IP in "Allowed Hosts" in CPanel (under MySQL) everytime your IP changes. However, you do have other options available. However, you could simply enter "%" (a percentage sign) in the "access hosts" text filed in CPanel (under mysql). This would allow any IP to remotely connect via mysql. Another option: Lets say the first three parts of your IP never change. Then, you could enter 93.138.%.% , where the first two parts are your actual IP address numbers.
After your IP is added to the Access Hosts list:
First, you will have to create a mysql database and assign a user to it. Please see documentation on how to do this, as this article will assume you already have a database setup. Your username and password will be the username and password of the user assigned to the database.
Database name = cpanelusername_databasename
Database username = cpanelusername_databaseusername
MySQL Connection Port = 3306
* The database name and username is clearly displayed in CPanel, in the MySQL area.
